Wallet & billing
DozzyWizard is pay-as-you-go: you add money to a single wallet balance, and every chat message, generated image and API request draws from it (free models are the exception — see below). There is no subscription and nothing renews on its own.
Your balance
A new account starts with a balance of $0. Chat with paid models, image
generation and the API all need a positive balance — at $0 the message box
is disabled for paid models, and API requests return
402 Insufficient balance.
Free models in the chat app don't draw from your balance, so they keep working at $0 (within their weekly allowance, which resets every Sunday at midnight Central European Time).
Your current balance is shown in the sidebar and under Settings → Wallet.
Adding funds
- Open Settings → Wallet.
- Pick a preset ($5, $10, $25 or $50) or enter a custom amount. The minimum is $5.
- Continue to the secure checkout, pay, and you're sent back to the app.
The amount you chose is credited to your balance once the payment is confirmed. Any applicable tax is shown at checkout and is not added to your balance. Your recent top-ups are listed under Settings → Wallet.
Payments are non-refundable unless the law requires otherwise — see the Terms of Service.
What things cost
You are charged after each reply, based on what was actually used:
| What | How it's charged |
|---|---|
| Text models | By tokens read (input) and written (output), at the model's own rate |
| Image models | A flat amount per generated image |
| Web search | Searching adds to the cost of that reply |
Each model has its own rate, so the same message can cost very different amounts on different models. The per-1M-token base rates are listed by the Models endpoint.
The amount charged for a request is the base rate plus DozzyWizard's fees, so it is a little higher than the base rate alone. You never have to calculate it: the exact amount deducted is recorded for every message.
Seeing where your money went
- In the app — Settings → Usage lists every charged message with its model and the exact amount deducted, newest first. You can search by model name or chat title. At the top, a Free models bar shows how much of this week's free allowance you've used, as a percentage.
- From the API — each response includes a
costfield, and the Usage endpoint returns the same history.
Usage only ever shows the model, time and cost — never the content of your messages.
