Choosing a model
The model picker sits next to the message box. Models are grouped by company and you can search by model or company name.
You can switch models at any point in a conversation. The new model answers from then on, and earlier replies keep the name and icon of the model that wrote them.
Models differ a lot in price and speed — larger models cost more per message. See Wallet & billing.
What each model can do
Not every model supports every feature, and the app only offers what the selected model can actually do:

If the attach button is greyed out, the selected model doesn't accept attachments. Web search switches itself off when you move to a model that doesn't support it.
The same capability flags are returned by the Models endpoint.
Free models
Some models are free to use. They are marked Free in the model picker and work even when your balance is $0.
- They don't draw from your wallet balance.
- Free models have a weekly usage allowance, shown as a percentage in Settings → Usage. It resets every Sunday at midnight Central European Time. Once it's used up, free models are unavailable until then — paid models are unaffected, so you can keep going with one or wait for the reset.
- They are available in the app only — not through the API.
- Free models can't use web search or attachments.
Conversation memory
Each chat keeps its full history on screen, but only the most recent 20 messages are sent to the model with each new message. In a very long conversation the model can lose track of what was said at the start — if something matters, repeat it, or begin a new chat.
Image generation
Switch to image mode with the toggle in the sidebar.
- Image mode has its own model list and its own conversation history, separate from text chats.
- Each image has a flat price, charged per generated image.
- Generated images are saved to your account. Click one to view it full size, and download it from there.
One message at a time
You can send one message at a time. Sending a second while the first is
still being answered is rejected with 429 — wait for the reply to
finish. This applies to the API too.
